Roughly 60% of Czechs, the second highest figure in the EU-27, believe that a legally-established third-country national should be able to become a Czech citizen easily. A majority supports migrants' rights to family reunion, while two in three supports equal social rights for migrants. A slight majority considers that ethnic diversity enriches Czech national culture. A similar majority believes that the country should do more to combat discrimination based on all grounds. While Czechs were divided about whether ethnic discrimination was fairly widespread, only one in three thinks it got worse from 2001 to 2006. 47% are convinced that it is tougher for a foreigner to be hired, accepted for training or promoted. Over two in three Czechs support special measures to provide equal opportunities based on ethnic origin in employment.
