Norway´s Contact Committee for Immigrants and the Authorities (KIM) is a Government-appointed body charged with discussing and formulating advice on matters concerning the immigrant community. It was first appointed in 1984.
The Committee has three components: representatives of immigrant organisations, nominated on a regional basis; representatives of ministries and relevant state agencies, and representatives of the political parties in the Storting. The chair is appointed independently of these groups. Current Chair is Dr. Rita Kumar.
